"Cyberheim" Event Now in Game!
Hi friends!
The spookiest time of the year has come to Warface! Are you ready to face the most terrifying creatures in the game? Or even become one of them… And, of course, get cool new arms that perfectly fit the occasion.
About the PvP Mode "Corruption"
A team of 16 players will join the match. A random team member will become patient zero and turn into a buffed cyborg. The cyborg will be dealing melee damage to the rest of the team, aiming to kill them and turn the dead over to the dark side. As soon as any of the "human" players die, no matter the cause, they will immediately turn into cyborgs too, gradually adding to the forces of the cyborg horde. The stand-off between cyborgs and survivors will be epic. If you've ever wondered what it would feel like to crush an EMP carrier or tear characters' flesh apart, then strap in tight and join the cyber horde!
The SED is excluded from the fun, since androids and cyborgs don't really mesh well.
The event will take place on the thematic maps Halloween Motel and Halloween Widestreet.
Cyborgs
Cyborg lines will be filled with every dead survivor. There is no way back. Cyborgs have increased HP and movement speed. They cannot wield weapons, but they can easily tear their targets apart with their hands. They can also see survivors through walls thanks to a useful wall-hack implant.
Cyborgs can die and will die a lot, so they don't get any death penalties and the mode stats in general do not count towards your personal stats.
If there are no cyborgs in the match, a new patient zero will emerge. As soon as one of the survivors turns into a cyborg, the rest of the "human" team's ammo, health, armour and consumables get restored and a power-up appears on the map. If cyborgs fail in killing survivors within a certain period of time, they'll get special buffs that last until the first survivors' death.
Survivors
Survivors are living characters whose only goal is to keep breathing till the match ends. Survivors can pick up power-ups of the Juggernaut, Gunslinger and the Pyro when they appear on the map to increase their chances of survival.
Who wins?
- Cyborgs win if all the survivors turn into cyborgs.
- Survivors win if they remain alive until the timer runs out.
The event points gain depends on the personal performance of each player, rather than on the victory or defeat. Survivors get points for the time they remain alive after the first cyborg appears. Those who remain "human" till the end of the match, get additional points.
Cyborgs gain points for the survivors they've killed, for assisting to eliminate living characters, and for just being a cyborg. Pretty cool, right?
By completing certain actions in the game mode, players will earn special achievements.
PvE Part of the Event
You'll also take part in the event by completing Special Operations "Pripyat", "Cyber Horde" and "Black Shark". The event currency is granted only for the first successful mission completion once a week.
Event Screen
On the event screen, you'll see a progress bar with three check-points. A new check-point will unlock at the beginning of the event and at the start of the second and third week of the event.
By completing the event contracts, you'll earn event points and fill in the progress bar. Once your progress reaches a check-point, you'll get a thematic reward:
- A Tactical Axe for 500 event points,
- Helheim Gloves for 1,000 event points,
- A Helheim Helmet for 2,000 event points.
Event Showcase with a Progress Bar
Just like in the summer event, "Cyberheim" offers a showcase with a reward progress bar. By using Black Market Coins, you can refresh items in the showcase. Each refresh activation adds to the progress bar. When 100% is reached, you'll get an exclusive offer to get one of four valuable items for free.
After making your choice, the other items become unavailable, the progress bar resets, and you can fill it up again and reach a new offer. The amount of offers is unlimited. The items for special offers are chosen randomly and may repeat.
What are the Event Rewards?
Among the event rewards, you'll find weapons from the new "Helheim" series including the PKM Zenit, Kalashnikov USA KHAOS, Beretta PMX and SVCh-54 as well as thematic achievements. To get the weapons, you'll need to collect special cards by purchasing them in the event showcase for Black Market Coins. The Black Market offers unique achievements, weapon charms and weapon skins.
