The present regulations (further on - «Regulations») of «Open Cup: Season XII» cybersport tournament finals (further on – «Tournament») are a set of rules determining the procedures of Tournament’s organization and the requirements the Tournament participants (further on – «Participants») should comply with. Full acceptance of present Regulations by a Participant is a compulsory condition for participating in the Tournament. Acceptance of the Regulations with exceptions is inadmissible.
1. General information regarding the Tournament
1.1. The Tournament is held by «Mail.Ru» LLC (further on – «Organizer») based in Moscow, Leningradsky avenue, house 39, building 79, 125167, OGRN 1027739850962, phone: +7 (495) 725-63-57.
1.2. The Tournament is held in massive multiplayer online game «Warface» (further on – «Game») using an English client.
1.3. The Tournament is the final stage of «Open Cup: Season I» tournament that was held in accordance with the regulations available through the following web link: https://esports.my.com/tournament/50/rules/. The access to this Tournament is restricted and only the finalists of Masters League established under the aforementioned «Open Cup: Season I» regulations can participate in it.
1.4. The Tournament is held at the following address: Russian Federation, Moscow, Dmitrovskoe shosse, 27 building 1.
1.5. The Tournament is held from the 2nd to the 4th of February 2018. The Tournament running time is from 10 am (10:00) to 10 pm (22:00).
2. Tournament organization format and procedures
2.1. The Tournament is held in LAN format, which means that all the Participants will be connected to the same local network. The Tournament is held with the hardware provided by the Organizer but the Participants are allowed to use their own input devices: mice and keyboards.
2.2. All tournament matches take place in ‘Plant the bomb’ mode.
2.3. Matches of the 1st day are held in the “Best of 1” format (till 1 match is won), matches of the second and the third day are held in the “Best of 3” format (till 2 matches are won). The last match of the third day is held in “Best of 5” format (till 3 matches are won). The champion is the team achieving victory in 11 rounds. The teams switch sides automatically every 5 rounds. If after 20 rounds the champion is not determined (the count is 10:10), the match continues till the advantage of one team does not reach 2 rounds. The teams switch sides automatically every round.
2.4. Two teams with five members each will take part in the match. In a case of emergency the team can substitute a player for another one during the Tournament.
2.5. Game maps are chosen with the cancellation method. In the “Best of 1” format team captains cross out one map each in sequence till only one remains – it is thus played on. In the “Best of 3” format team captains first cross out one map each, then choose the first and the second game maps, cross out one more map each and the map that remains is the one that is played on third. For the “Best of 5” format: team captains first cross out one map each and then choose the first, the second, the third, the forth and the fifth game maps in sequence. For all the specified formats the right to “choose first” is determined by a coin toss performed by the Tournament judge.
2.6. All matches take place with “Friendly fire” and “Fixed camera” enabled.
2.7. Tournament Organizers have the right to change team names, logos and membership as well as the nicknames of Tournament Participants.
2.8. The Tournament judge is a rightful representative of the Organizer who will be facilitating the Tournament. The outcome of all arguable matters is determined according to the judge’s subjective opinion. The judge’s verdict is final. The Tournament’s judge is Alexandra Kitova.
3. Tournament Restrictions
3.1. It is prohibited for the Participants to use the following items in the Tournament:
· all the items available for purchase with crowns
· all automatic and semi-automatic sniper rifles
· antipersonnel landmines, stun grenades, red and blue smoke grenades, white smoke grenades available for purchase with Warface dollars, an under-barrel grenade launcher
· body skins which hide the items equipped on the character
· seasonal items
· battle helmets
· battle vests
· battle boots
· battle gloves
· ‘Atlas’ boots
· ‘Atlas’ gloves
· gold versions of the items
· ‘Autumn-2015’ tournament masks
· all the items with the first shot protection
· USAS-12
· APS
· all the items replenishing HP/AP except for “Spring-2016” tournament helmets
3.2. All the items prohibited in 3.1 Regulations article will be automatically removed from the character’s copy on the tournament server.
4. Requirements for Participants
4.1. Participants are prohibited from acting in any way that breaches or contradicts any documents regulating the Game’s code of conduct including the Terms of Use https://legal.my.com/us/games/tou/, Payment Terms https://legal.my.com/us/games/payments/, and applicable legislation.
4.2. Disrespectful behavior and inappropriate public statements towards other Tournament Participants, judges, spectators or Organizer’s representatives are prohibited.
4.3. The Participants are required to treat Organizer’s property and the property of third parties in the Tournament venue, Yota Arena, as well as hotels with care and respect. The participants are held liable for damaging the property of Organizer and third parties at the Tournament venue in accordance with the applicable legislation. The Organizer has the right to deny the team its prize if a member of the team consciously damaged the mentioned property.
4.4. The participants are prohibited from taking third parties to the Tournament venue. In case of these third parties causing property damage described in article 4.3 of these regulations – the responsibility is carried by the Participant who took this third party to the Tournament venue.
4.5. Any exploits of the in-game or related program bugs is prohibited.
4.6. The Participant is prohibited from taking any actions that can influence the status of the Tournament or Organizer or those that interfere with the fair outcome of the Tournament. Evaluation of the Participants’ actions (or lack of required actions) in such circumstances is based exclusively on the subjective opinion of the Tournament judge.
4.7. In case of a Participant having any issues with the hardware used in matches or experiencing any other issues that do not allow the Participant to fairly perform in the match – the affected Participant must raise a hand. The judge will then approach the Participant. If the judge confirms the existing of the issue - the match can be stopped till the existing issue is sorted. After that the match is resumed (the stopped round is restarted) with the same score that was on before the game was paused. If some of the player characters were already killed in the round before the pause – the decision of whether they would participate in the restarted round rests on the Tournament judge.
4.8. The participants must arrive to the Tournament venue an hour before the first match these Participants take part in. If the team is still missing from the Tournament premises 15 minutes before the start of their match or some of its members are missing – this team receives a technical loss in the tournament.
4.9. Transfer organization of the Participants from their hotels to the Tournament venue as well as their accommodation is provided by the Organizer at Organizer’s expense. At the same time the Participants are required to provide full and valid information in a well-timed manner for the purposes of transfer and accommodation when they are asked to do so by Organizer's representatives. In case of mistimed provision of information or the provision of limited and invalid information, the Organizer has the right to keep a certain amount from the team’s prize. This amount is equivalent to the damage that was caused to the Organizer due to the above mentioned of the team.
5. Disciplinary sanctions
5.1. Breaching article 4.1 of these Regulations by the Participant results in disqualification of the Participant’s team from the tournament and the ban of the Participant’s account on the main server.
5.2. Breaching article 4.2 of these Regulations results in a team warning for the first breach and the Participant’s team disqualification from the tournament for the second breach.
5.3. Breaching article 4.5 of these Regulations results in the Participant getting a warning for the first breach and may potentially result in the technical loss of the Participant’s team in the given round for the second breach. The second breach can also result in the Participant’s disqualification till the end of the Tournament.
5.4. In cases of other prohibitions being breached with the potential negative impact on the status of the Tournament, its Organizer or the fairness of the Tournament - the Tournament judge can apply other disciplinary sanctions based on personal choice.
6. Order of appeal consideration
6.1. In case of one team suspecting another in playing unfairly, the former is required to contact the judge immediately after the match and specify a player, time, and reason for the suspicion.
6.2. Tournament judge is the one who decides whether to apply a warning, a sanction or a set of sanctions either to a player or a whole team.
6.3. The decision of the Tournament judge on arguable matters is final and cannot be debated on or protested against.
7. Prizes and the process of receiving them
7.1. The overall prize pool of the Tournament (from now on - «Prize Pool») is 3 000 000 (three millions) Russian rubles.
7.2. The prizes are allocated the following way:
· 1st place: 1 200 000 rubles.
· 2nd place: 600 000 rubles.
· 3–4 places: 300 000 rubles each.
· 5–6 places: 200 000 rubles each.
· 7–8 places: 100 000 rubles each.
7.3. The specified prize amounts do not include the taxes that the Organizer will be paying for the Participants.
7.4. As a team member each Participant is liable for 1/5th of the prize specified in article 7.2 of these Regulations.
7.5. The prizes are delivered using a method specified by the Participant in article 9 of these Regulations.
7.6. The prize is sent to the Participant within 60 calendar days from the Tournament end under the condition that the Participant has provided full and valid information for the prize to be transferred and the required tax to be paid. If this condition is not fulfilled – the prize is sent to the participant within 60 calendar days from the provision of the required information.
8. General Statements
8.1. Organizer’s Tournament administration is regulated by the law of Russian Federation.
8.2. By signing these Regulations the Participant agrees to have his/her personal information collected, systemized, accumulated, stored, corrected (updated or changed), used, anonymized, blocked and destroyed solely for the purpose of administrating the Tournament in accordance with the active legislation of Russian Federation. The period of acceptance is from 29th January 2018 to the 30th February 2018. All personal information provided by the Tournament Participants will be storage in accordance with the active legislation of Russian Federation.
8.3. The agreement to personal information specified in 8.2 of these Regulations being processed can be cancelled by the Participant by sending a relevant request to the Organizer’s address. In case of the Participant cancelling the agreement – the Participant is prohibited from receiving a relevant prize listed in article 7 of these Regulations.
8.4. Participants understand and agree that during the Tournament, the Organizer or third parties under the directions from the Organizer can take photos and film videos of the Participants. The participant agrees to his/her image being used for the marketing purposes of the Organizer in accordance with the active legislation of Russian Federation.
