Soon in game: RM Rework
Friends!
We are dedicated to improving your gaming experience, making it more engaging and enjoyable. That’s why we’re excited to introduce some changes to the ranked matches, which are meant to improve balance and also bring fresh opportunities for stronger teamwork. Let’s dive into these exciting updates together!
Balance and gameplay rework
Map changes
The number of maps available in RM has been updated. From now on, there will be nine permanent maps, the best in terms of balance and most popular among players. These maps are: “Yard 2.0”, “Pyramid”, “Bridges”, “Factory”, “District 2.0”, “Antenna”, “Port”, “Destination” and “D17”. Also, “Blitz” mode maps will be removed.
Timing update
We’re tweaking the timings to keep the matches fast-paced and exciting.
- Round time is now 105 seconds (down from 120).
- Bomb detonation time is reduced to 45 seconds (previously 50).
- Planting and defusing a bomb will now take just 5 seconds (instead of 7).
These changes will encourage teams to focus on the bomb and wrap up rounds faster.
Engineers will keep their unique ability to plant and defuse the bomb at a faster pace.
Improving the gaming experience
Removing FPS caps
The FPS cap in the Win/Loss menu will be removed to provide smoother visuals and a more seamless experience.
Faster match exit
We’ve shortened stats screen display time, so now leaving the match as well as returning to the game will be much quicker.
Pre-match screen rework
RP points
The display of ranking points has been reworked. Players will now only see points that apply to their current league and division, making it easier to focus on foreseeable goals.
The total number of points will only be visible to players who have reached the “Grand Master” league. Pretty good reason to make your way to the top, right?
Improved design
We’ve redesigned the match start screen to give it a modern look, align it with the game’s style, and enhance the overall gaming experience by making the interface more informative.
Name and clan on the end-of-season screen
The end-of-season screen will now display the player’s name and clan name, allowing everyone to share their personal success!
Reward progression in ranked matches
Ranked Progression
The shop will be transformed into a progression bar, allowing players to clearly see what rewards await as they level up in the ranked mode.
Rank screen
On the new screen, players will be able to view:
- Rewards for each rank tier,
- Their current tier,
- A progression multiplier based on their league position.
Players will be able to see both the rewards they’ve already earned and the ones coming up. Once the main progression is complete, they’ll also be able to check out the rewards for the extra levels.
Tier progression
After the rework, players will earn experience for matches that contribute to their tier progression. The higher the league, the more experience is granted per match. Additionally, the currency vault will help speed up the progress.
Tier rewards
Each tier will come with rewards, including parts and seasonal cosmetics, and it will be similar to how Battle Pass works now. Players will unlock basic rewards for the first 20 levels; after that come extra rewards.
Any leftover currency from the last season will be converted into WF$. Keep in mind that old rewards like boxes, charms, and camouflages will be removed due to the removal of the shop.
Winter Season rewards
In the RM seasonal progression, players can unlock camouflages from the new Racing Livery series, including a Scout Knife, ST Kinetics CPW, and a smoke grenade.
Players will also be able to get a Crossfit Medic Suit.
Matchmaking rework
Now, you only need to play 3 matches to get promoted instead of 5, with 2 wins required!
MVP
The MVP (Most Valuable Player) will now be chosen after each round, with their impact displayed on the screen.
How to receive MVP?
There are several ways to earn the MVP:
- Resurrecting the most allies as a medic;
- Series of eliminations;
- Scoring the highest number of eliminations in a round;
- Blowing up planted bomb or defusing one;
- Eliminating all members of the enemy team at least once.
Post-round
Free movement
After the round ends, players will be able to move freely and perform all the same actions as during the round.
Note that eliminations during this period will affect the overall statistics.
Round results data
At the end of the round, players can now press the Tab key to close the results window.
Win/Loss
A win/loss indicator will now appear at the top of the screen after each round.
Bomb mechanics improvements
Bomb sound
The bomb sound has been reworked: now, as the bomb explosion draws nearer, the frequency of the sounds will gradually increase, heightening the tension and making the gaming experience even more intense.
Delay fix
Previously, a 300-400 ms delay caused bomb planting/defusing sounds to be out of sync with animations. This bug is now fixed, ensuring full synchronization.
Bomb camera
When the attacking team plants a bomb but is completely eliminated, the camera stays on the bomb until the round ends. Moreover, players can now rotate the camera around the planted bomb freely, which helps to analyze enemy actions and plan future strategies.
[Upd] Game Pause
Upd. The following feature was disabled due to technical reasons. We will keep you posted about it.
Pause reconnection
Players who reconnect during a pause at the start of the round will now be revived, ensuring fair play and avoiding disadvantages for their team.
Pause activities
After the update, players will be able to rotate the camera, switch weapons, inspect them, and change modules during the pause.
Other
General chat after the match
Players will be able to use the general chat after the match ends to discuss the game, share emotions, and blow off steam. The chat will be active for some time after the win or loss.
Exciting updates are on the way! Stay tuned, the best is yet to come!
