BT50 – now in store
BT50 is a deadly weapon, but unlike other rifles of its class – it doesn’t drop the speed.
INSPIRATION
BT50 was modelled after the AS50 sniper rifle by Accuracy International. When it comes to the name of this famous British firearms manufacturer, you know it’s going to be a weapon for the special forces and the like – AS50 is no exception, having been designed allegedly for the US SOCOM, and may yet make its way on the users list of other special forces units worldwide. Essentially an anti-materiel rifle rather than an anti-personnel one, it is capable of delivering absolute devastation at massive ranges with undisputed precision.
IN WARFACE
BT50 is a golden mean between the bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles. Whereas other sniper rifles either emphasize on damage or speed, BT50 chooses to combine the two benefits into a fine combination.
Its damage is at the highest mark in the game (350), and the rifle is capable of firing subsequent shots fairly speedily as well (215 rate of fire). Ejection sequence is brief but automatic, thus BT50 feels like a bolt-action sniper rifle, stripped of the need to do the actual bolt action. Albeit the rifle barely suffers an accuracy drop when fired without zooming, the .50 caliber sure does result in quite a kick – you best learn to manage the recoil if you want to master rapid-firing. Per tradition, the rifle can be outfitted with either of the two bipods and a variety of scopes.
BT50 comes in two variants: regular and golden, both can be found in Random Kredit Boxes. The golden variant features a higher rate of fire (215 -> 225), carries an extra round in the mag (5 -> 6), and thus, carries more total ammo (30 -> 35).
